Thousand Miles Away

What fun is a sober head
But how clear are sober thoughts
What fun is being solo
But there’s power in the soul they’ve got

When I look at my peers
I feel a thousand miles away
When I compare what I have
I feel I should throw it all away

I know in my heart
Why I can’t start drinking
I lock myself alone
And I can’t stop thinking
The tears try to come
And I can’t stop blinking
I disappear into nothing
And I can’t stop shrinking

Can’t you see
Why
I don’t wanna be
Locked away
With only
Me and me
