LOVE

Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. – Franklin P Jones

Love,
Love is what built me
I have a foundation for my life
I have parents that raised me
None of this would’ve happened without love
I see love
I see the love in my grandmother working sixty plus hours a week to provide for our family
I see the love my grandfather places on the table
I see the love in the smile that Amu gives me
When I do something good
I see the love in the stories she tells me
when she prepares to a teen
A human
I see the love in papa
When he says I’m his angel
And yet teaches me to stay on the ground
I see the love in the eyes of my brothers
When they trust me enough to tell me things
Before going to anyone else.
I see the love
I see the joy in love.
When we are laughing so hard,
We are crying
I see the joy in love
During Dashain when
My grandparents’ eyes are filled with tears
With the sight of our family together
The foundation they had created
The house they had built
The love they taught us to give
The is fun on family vacation
When we are enjoying being together
Away from normality
Love is my last dying wish
To feel loved,
By the people around me
By the family love has given me
By the joy in love
By the fun in love
By the love in love
You see, I disagree with Jones
Love does make the world go round.
It makes my world go round
And definitely makes the ride worthwhile.
