Lost

I was introduced to basketball by another great (MJ)
But as I was growing up you made the game your fate
Ain’t gonna say you were my favorite on the court
But every last minute play you had the ball your team was sure to have support
Many times I was mad when my team lose to you
Not because you were not best at what you do
But inside I had this respect and admiration for you
Even if I tried, I could never  be mad at your gift
You were a natural force, that turned into a drift.
As I watched you throughout your career full of passion
I could see your inner devotion.
My mind and body hasn’t fully processed this yet
As your light went into the sunset
Your star will always shine our lives

Art is my air and a way for me to feel happy. Poetry is my home away from home.
