A jar of toxic goodbyes

I’ll tell you what —

If you could take all your difficult relationships,
grind them in your roommate’s KitchenAid blender
and scoop them in your least favorite jar.

I bet you’d still come back for a spoonful,
some distaste.
Until the jar falls and breaks
and you smell the aromatic mess
of bad choices —
Every sip; a revelation.
