Wake up

I lay here in the silence after the destruction.
After the broken glass of your window cut me open.
But I didn’t want to break it. I just had to let you in.
The suspense was killing me and it surely almost did.
You helped me to dream better. Trapped me inside just so I could sleep through it.
But now it’s time to wake up!
I grew flowers from the roots you carved into my skin with the shards of glass.
You made me understand love as the dream worth living.
This time I hope I can’t see through the window with these flowers blocking my view.
