Up To No Good

i wait for you to arrive,

and i know you’re day will come.

but i cant seem to

get you out of my mind,

as the days turn from weeks,

into months.

i feel your cool breeze

slow dancing in the wind sometimes.

making me aware of my surroundings,

both behind and in front.

are you there?

trying to get my attention,

that will prepare,

me,

for a new direction.

leading up to the

late night runs,

for a substance,

that can warm you up

without the love affair,

it’s nothing.

body to body,

living a life

i wouldn’t dare,

drawn to the opposite gender,

and giving up whats

under all that wear.

kind of compares,

to the outside that makes you numb-er,

to what’s not there,

and,

i just can’t get enough of you.

it’s not fair!

things are changing,

for the greater good and,

i’m not complaining,

just patiently waiting for

a season most understood,

while graduating from a

late night chasing,

up to no good.

Hey ya'll. I'm PoetKi, and currently I am getting my MA in Creative Writing at Kennesaw State University in GA, where I'm from. Atlanta to be exact! I love to write songs, interludes, poems, short fiction, and creative non-fiction that resonate with both male and female in a way that is relate-able, inspiring, and impactful, while also innocent, sensual, and urban. I am an open book, and I choose to share my story through my words so that anyone who is feeling/have felt the same way I did/do will ultimately connect and understand that they are not alone.

I am an artist looking to brand myself by expanding my connections with other creatives. I aspire to become a hit song maker, a well-known author, and a curator of spoken word events.

I hope you enjoy what you read, and I hope that we can work together in the future, possibly.
