You call yourself a pig
Thinking your meal is too big
But this size reflects that of your soul
Not the foods that make you feel full
Yet unfulfilled.
You describe your body as massive
And your tone of voice is passive
Aggressive to diminish
The food that’s hard to finish
Eating because your false words
Are swallowed down like a pill.
You feel sick of yourself
Because your state of health
And wellbeing will never matter
Until your stomach is flatter
By power of will.
You say you should stop eating
Because breathing
Feels heavy against your spine
As an obvious sign
That you are too much
Of everything still.
You see yourself as fat
And your emotions are so flat
Because you have been convinced
That you will never be small
And it’s better to be nothing at all
Than to be
You.
But you
Are far more
Than a sore excuse for beauty
And truly your body
Is just a frame
Of mind
Set on this earth to remind us all
That walls are built of toxic views
And they can fall down
To reveal the groundwork
Of the beauty and soul of
You.
