Too Much

If I could give everything up for your love,
Would I?
Would I retreat into a smallness again,
So that you could feel large?
Would I stop pouring my soul onto paper,
So that you could feel comfortable?
Would I give away my fire,
So that you could feel powerful?

Should I end a great love journey with myself,
So that you can love me again?

As these questions run through my mind like a train on a circular track,
I remember.
Flowers do not apologize for their beauty.
For their growth.
For their transformation.
And they are loved.
Worshiped.
So why would I stay a seed?
