Time’s Up

You’ve paced this same place so many times your thoughts are etched in the floorboards. You abore love.

Tolerate it only because you’re chasing his potential like addicts chase a high

So you teach yourself patience, you search for truth in his lies.

Disguise your dreams and dress them up as his ambitions yet you curse the stars for unanswered wishes every time one shoots across the sky.

And yet, I wonder why?

You allow him to barter your heart for promises of tomorrow as you remain stagnant in a relationship you’ve been praying he’d arrive to, why try to, hold on to something that desperately wants to be let go of,

This is for the girl who is still waiting, it’s time to move on love.

I've always loved the arts and began writing when I was eight-years old. I believe art is a beautiful way of expressing yourself and an amazing form of therapy be it performing, written or visual. I enjoy traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and family and a good glass of wine.
