The Daisy Oracle

He loves me,

He loves me not,

I pluck at these petals

As I sift through my thoughts

He loves me,

He loves me not,

I throw out this flower

And feel my heart is caught

As that final petal decides,

My head and heart divide:

He loves me…not

Telling me what I almost knew,

But I can’t help feeling blue,

I had some hope

But hope is power,

So I pick another flower
