The Awakening

A spark ignites in the darkness
and a Flame Eternal rises
There is new growth in the temple
where sins have been burned clean.
The sun dawns in the East
Peace is on the horizon
Wings of light burst forth
And Hope takes flight once more-
What was dead begets life at last!
The well of Power is overflowing
Both Heart and Mind are holding fast
as the Veil is lifted and
the Third Eye begins to open.
The mask will be torn asunder
And the Spirit will be birthed anew.

I've always been fascinated with words. As a Boricua and a descendant of peoples with a strong oral tradition, I suppose it was only natural that I fell into writing. My poetry is inspired by whatever strikes me, and my stories are all fantasy.
