Being a woman and saying no to you, why is it such a crime?
Why I have to say yes to you, to make you feel like your the ultimate prize?
While I cringe to the compliment you gave to me about my breast size.
There’s no reason why I should sit aside and let you fantasize,
About me while your in your corner.
Saying no to you is my privilege and an order.
My rejections turn into your aggressions, then finally the next day the news reports it as a murder.
Losing my life because of my honesty,
But insecurity overcame and attacked me.
Drowning in my sorrows I feel there’s no tomorrow and no immunity.
Then you tell me while your on top of me that I deserved it,
Because my skirt was above my knees and I looked too sexy.
Allegedly, you’re the victim while I was on the bed unconscious, helpless, and couldn’t stand on my own two feet.
Says the foolish man that never treated a woman like a queen.
Accepting no was never taught to babied little boys.
They’d rather let little girls bleed and cry in silence while playing with there toys.
Forcing them to scream without even one word and no sound coming out of their mouths.
And raising them to sit on pedestals, without no doubts.
Not knowing the miracle of life are women, and that one day they will have children.
Saying no is not an option, but a demand to the millennial of the newer generation.
Stories, journeys, cries, and sufferings are being unraveled globally to bring the two sexes on leveled ground to fight for gender equality in our corrupted nation.
