Rhetorical Questions

Did your skin try to escape    and run back to me
Since I was able to kiss    you into serendipity
Did you forget that my voice erupts    volcanoes in the sweetest of melodies

Did you forget us somewhere    in the corner of your messy closet
Or underneath the bed of lies    we told each other
When we said we’d be okay    without one another

Did the garden die inside of you    without my water

Did your love language    still manage to only spell out my name

Did love even taste the same    after me

Have you found this    in anything else yet
