Purgatory

You know the place between Heaven and Hell? …the stopping point…the break between the Hell you’ve been put through and your final destination of happiness.  I feel as though I’m that middle ground…men come to me when they’re broken, damaged by the women that came before me.  At first, they’re cautious and I dig deep.  All my energy, all my warmth, all my feelings are put into building them back up…hoping that they would do the same for me…but somewhere in transition I am lost and they move on through to Heaven to find the woman of their dreams…the one they build-up, the one they care for, the one they keep for eternity…and here I am left between Heaven and Hell…hoping that one day my spirit will be saved by him…whoever that may be.
