Please

Please
By Casey Navarro

I want a partner.
It’s too hard to do it alone. I’ve been through enough.
Please.
Please.
Please let me exhale.

I am truly begging you, all of you.
Please.
Let me be happy.
Let someone show me a true love for the first time.
Let someone heal my soul and mend my heart.

I am ready to be my authentic self with someone.
I want to indulge.
I want so many helpings of them people worry about me.

I want to feel so safe I never question us.
I want a love so big I can’t see where it ends.
I want a love so warm I melt into my destiny, only coming up for air to tell the world
I am whole.
