Keep Going

I’ve watched you grow into a person I admire

You’re passionate; you’re fire

You’ve traveled through the trenches

Seen the worst of the worst

I’ve seen the worst of your hurt

I’ve watched you in search of something

I’ve watched you in search of a source of wealth

I’ve watched you in search of yourself

Sometimes it seems like you’re still looking

You’re a four course meal but you’re still cooking

And I can’t wait till you’re done

Until you can stop being on the run

Running from life, happiness, love;

Running from fun

Stop running from the people that have shunned you

Cause you’re the sun

The moon

The stars too

And no matter what those people took

They can’t take the light from inside you

Be proud

That you’ve got through all you’ve got through

No one can tame the wolf inside you

No one can tone you down

No one can dim your light

No one can silence your sound

Especially once the version of yourself you’ve been looking for,

Is finally found
