I Am A Woman

I Am A Woman

I am a woman who knows her worth,
Who knows what she wants, what she deserves
I will not accept remarks that are curt,
I will not stay around and accept being hurt
I can show you love, I can give you comfort,
But first your cheating ways you have to convert.
I am a woman of many words,
Yet I can leave you speechless when you see my curves
I hold your attention when I flirt,
I can break your concentration with a twirl of my skirt.
I am a woman who doesn’t fear or back down,
I can show you things that you’ll find profound
I don’t play neither do I clown,
When it comes to love, in mine you’ll drown.
I am the woman who won’t let you frown,
The woman you’ll always want to be around
In my arms you’ll be safe and sound,
Amazingly beautiful is the woman you’ve found.

Author Bio: I am a writer from the island of Jamaica, I mainly writes poetry, stories and song lyrics. As an art student in high school i knew writing was the career path that I wanted to take but it was in grade school that I discovered a book that led to my love for poetry and I keep falling for it day after day. I have a creative mind, a special love for writing and dedication to the craft, I can write about anything and feel so at ease doing it because of how much I truly love words and playing with them.
I have already published my first book on Amazon titled Serenity: Poems for the Mind. This accomplishment has left me feeling really proud but I know that there is more work that needs to be done writing so for that I do not intend to stop. I find myself to be a well-rounded individual who loves life, is passionate and dedicated.
