How Much I Love You

I love you like a mango smoothie
on the beach in 80-degree weather.
Like muffins and coca tea
by the fireplace in the winter.

Now I crave you…
You are all I need for dreams
to come through.

You make the abyss feel like…
daylight, sunshine, moonlight.
No exit at this turnpike.
You bring brightness to the night.

I will hold these days longer
and forget the bad ones.
Hugs that will make me stronger.
This love is not like everyone’s.
