Home Alone 36

She watches “her

stories” on the TV

alone in her studio

feeling okay

the sounds of family

in the background.

A year ago today she was

still 35 and had one

a drink

a family

wind/sheets

stiff, blown away.

This year she sits,

emerald altar, glittering

gifts, self-worship.

Here, she casts spells,

praying her way

through cries, laughs,

feeling whole,

free, safe.
