Hold Space

I sit with my borrowed pain

lent to me at a time when it’s owner could no longer bear the weight of it

I step into it

to walk a mile over broken glass and taste what you have consumed for so long

I feel through it

in the hopes that if I pick it apart some light will shine through

I take it into myself

to learn how to cope if someday this heaviness is mine to carry

I write to nurture my creative side and express the feelings lying under the surface. I am moved by self love and expanding perspectives in writing and in life.
