Goodbye my wild rose

Goodbye my wild rose
One day I won’t think of you first
When I see a sunset sky
One day my mind will stop questioning
Who I am
And I will understand the words
You chose to say to me
We were two pieces of a puzzle
That were not meant to fit
In the end you only wanted someone to love you
But I didn’t know how
And you say no one will ever know me better than the way you do
But that’s not true
I know myself better
And I know I needed to let go
And say one last time
Goodbye my wild rose

I am a New Jersey based poet who aspires to share my story through poetry and prose focused on faith and my journey with depression. I have overcome many obstacles and I believe everyone has a story to tell, even if they haven't found the words yet. I hope my words can inspire others to believe in their purpose and to find strength to climb the next mountain.
