Drift

My feet fall out from underneath me.

Sinking into the grass is now my only purpose,

nothing more.

The cool ground envelopes me.

The night sky

dusted with glittering stars

wraps around me and tucks me in.

The moon spins above me

hypnotizing me,

cooing for my submission.

I sink into the dizziness,

the heaviness,

let it consume me.

The trees sing sweetly as I close my eyes.

I dream of the ocean.
