Conversations With The Skies

As I looked across the skies

A blip of thought erased from my mind

A drop of tear in rewind

I questioned the then blue skies, ‘why?’

As I looked across the skies

A draft of wind cascaded through my hind

A drop of tear, resigned

I begrudged and bellowed to the then blue skies, ‘yes, why?’

As I looked across the skies

A flash of memories sparked in my mind

A drop of tear started to unwind

I breathed and sighed to the then blue skies, ‘no, really, why?’

As I looked across the skies

A ray of light intervened my wandering eye

A drop of tear formed a winding line

I smiled to the then blue skies, knowing why.

As I looked across the skies

Look what is in front of your eyes

A soufflé of clouds floated away with time

Look what is in front of your eyes

A drop of tear, dried

Look what is in front of your eyes

I look back down and gazed around this life of mine

This is why.
