Baptism

Lead me to your altar
let me worship there with ardor,
shower you with reverence in fervor,
fail upon my knees in supplication,
show you the extent of my devotion
in my willing subjugation
to your glory-
Let me leave you feeling holy
as I repeat my testimony
crying out from the divinity
in an endless litany
from the application of your ministry
until finally I am
Sanctified.

I've always been fascinated with words. As a Boricua and a descendant of peoples with a strong oral tradition, I suppose it was only natural that I fell into writing. My poetry is inspired by whatever strikes me, and my stories are all fantasy.
