Hi! I’m Caitlin, a social worker/counselor/yogi/writer/landscaper. I have just started my own counseling practice in Seattle, Washington and am so grateful to do what I love everyday. My passion in life is helping people unearth their true selves by processing through trauma, forming boundaries, and learning to cope with mental health issues like anxiety and depression. I have worked in a private mental health/substance use/eating disorder treatment center, a non-profit domestic violence shelter, and in government agencies working with children. I am so grateful for this work that opens my eyes to new things every day, pushes me to widen (or wipe off) my lens, and shows me the light and darkness in society. Additionally, I love to travel, meet new people, and learn as much as I can as I go. My husband and I have lived in Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Alaska, and now Washington state. I have worked in the fishing industry of Bristol Bay Alaska and traveled to Europe, Africa, and Central America. My husband and I have traveled around the US, mostly by car and we just took on remodeling a 1973 Shasta camper trailer as an additional creative outlet. Because of all these experiences, I love writing about mental health issues, boundaries, self-awareness, self-compassion, travel, and adventure. I look forward to connecting with you!
