angel

three shattered plates decorate the floor
around my feet
dressed in a pink slip,
distressed from dancing and making breakfast
the sink, an altar
it will suffice, i will suffice
i am the only one now
worshipping in the kitchen
redeeming velvet over silk
a hand on a broken mirror
red lips running, eyes a faucet
afraid to disappear
you were my mirror
now you’re gone,
and i’m faceless
