After The Thunderstorm

Take the day

Bright or grey

And embrace it

Because for whatever the reason

It’s meant to be

Happiness isn’t constant

And love never lasts

But neither does sadness

You stop crying

Allowing the tears to start drying

Shedding your depressive state

And cleaning your slate

No longer coddling the infection

Finally strong enough

To breathe in and out alone

The morning is new

And your mourning is through

So, watch the clouds evaporate

And the sun shine

After the thunderstorm

You were just dragged through
