A Silent Room

How ironic is the noise in this room?
Silence fills the air…
As thick as fog!
All doom and gloom.

Even though you lay near me,
I feel like the only one in here.
The echoes howling at the TV screen.
This is not how it used to be.

Are you still here?
Is this a dream?
Is this a memory?

I keep telling myself I’ll get up.
I’ll get up, eventually.
This silence is just too much hurt for me.
