A Rose’s Petals

Tracing my fingers along the edges

A rose’s petals soft

Gazing upon the intricate labyrinth

That protects it’s heart

Like a beautiful, delicate rib cage

The morning dew settling on the surface

Sculpting a certain glistening elegance

Enhancing its silken texture

Compelling me to usher it to my lips

And inhale the luscious vapors
