A Lesson in Art History

You’re passionate about what you do,

Which sparked a flame in me.

I wish that you could wear my shoes.

If only you could see

The way that you describe the art

And make things very plain.

Folks hang on to your every word.

Yes, everything you’re saying.

The way that you run through museums,

Just like you’re on a mission,

To tell us about the Tintoretto’s,

Rubens’, and the Titian’s,

And people follow willingly.

Yes, of their own volition.

I’m always thoroughly impressed

With all the things you know.

I love to stand by and listen, and follow as you go.
