A Change Within

You cannot see the change within me

It has happened slowly, there was no rush

The pieces of my soul are weaving back together

In a pattern that is new, but meant to be lasting

To you I look the same

But to me, oh to me

I am brand new

I am so much more now

Stronger in mind

Surer in spirit

This new me is ready

I can do anything-every challenge I see is a chance to prove

This change deep inside

Is real and here to stay

I’m thirty and still trying to figure it all out. I'm constantly on the search for positivity and optimism while fighting back an anxious mind. I've always used writing as a way to sort through everything that is happening to and around me and I've recently regained the courage to put it out there for anyone to see.
