silenced into calm

I will go fiercely into the mess of the world

I will not be silenced into calm

I will show my boy and my girls

that love is not tolerance

And their violence, their song

Is white rooted

It’s toxic

It’s wrong

I will gather space for the pain

I will smoke out the subtle game

of violence wrapped in psalms

And your silence becoming bombs

I will not go quietly

I don’t have it in me

I’ll flip your tables of

complacency, your tired song of

Supremacy

Condemned, you’ll see

This dusk feels hopeless

power must feel soulless

I will go fiercely into the wholeness

Of mess and fight long

I will not be silenced

Into calm
