Thank God for the Sun

I walked outside and immediately thanked God as I felt the warmth of the sun piercing my brown, chocolate, melanin skin. A warmth- balancing out the coldness I feel in my heart. The coldness that my sister feels, now 6ft under and unjustly taken from us. This warmth of the sun, that once pierced my brown, chocolate, melanin skin now fuels the fire caged inside my rage…….and I’m tired. Aren’t you?

Hi! Not much to share except that writing has always been a part of my life. The feeling of a pen to paper or fingers to keyboard just empowers me to freely express my innermost thoughts in the most natural way.
