Easy

It’s so easy to feel insecure,

It’s so easy to slip into sadness.

I admire everyone’s bravery,

Bravery to be a better them.

To lift your weeping head,

And continue on the journey.

It’s so easy to feel unworthy,

It’s so easy to slip into self-loathing.

I admire my own reflection,

Just for a moment, before,

I tear it to shreds with disgust.

And continue on the journey.

It’s so difficult to list the ways,

The ways that I love myself.

It’s so difficult to say ‘I Love You’

To the young woman smiling

In this reflection. But, I must

Start the journey of self-love.

Somewhere,

Somewhere,

Here.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, I am a creative and eccentric young woman who desires to be a writer. I am in currently studying creative writing at school and aspire to receive my masters in the future. I am two sides of one coin; I enjoy writing sensitive poetry, my own analysis on astrology and tarot and I write morbid short horror stories.
