Wildfire Stories

Applaud or appalled over what see
Facts and fiction blurred on the T.V.
Hate and humor walking hand in hand
Ready to fight, ready to take a stand
Too much pride, never enough peace
Shocking stories never cease
Humility takes a backseat to ego
Never admitting that you don’t know
So, you jump onboard right or wrong
Having to have an opinion before the story’s gone
We miss the real in reality and the kind in humankind
The differences we discover, and break away from the binds
The binds of humanity, goodness and love
Sending hate messages from a screen, instead of a hug
Threatening words to those you abhor
Screaming at strangers behind a keyboard
Life long friends demoted to unfriend
When will this madness ever end?
Wildfire stories caught in a blaze
How quickly life can change, in only a day.
