I Still Rise

Life is not fair as they say,
Especially if everyday is a challenge you face.
In the end, sometimes I wonder if I should walk away.

You know the saying right?
When life gives you lemons make lemonade.
Well sometimes, life does not allow you to make such things.

Life is cruel.
Should I be surprised?
It is a cold world that we live in.

In my darkest hour,
I hope to see the light.
The light that would allow me to still rise.

I still rise to see what becomes the best of me.
I still rise to see what the future holds for me.
Lastly, I still rise to see what the world will become for me to see.

You can knock me down,
No matter what you or life throws at me.
At last, I still rise.
