Men Have Feelings, I promise

When is the last time you saw a man cry? When is the last time you saved space for a man to tell you what was bothering them? When is the last time a man was able to open up to you in regard to what was on their mind?

Men have feelings.

Men are always scolded by women because of the lack of communication of their feelings.

Men are expected to be strong and never weak.

Men are laughed at when they are sensitive.

Men are not believed when they cry.

Men are ridiculed for expressing themselves.

Men are not nurtured when they are vulnerable.

Men are expected to get over things, quickly.

Men are not allowed to vent and get things off their chest.

Men are encouraged to play sports, go out and become inebriated instead of talking,

Men are not allowed to express emotion unless it is deemed appropriate by society.

Men have feelings, I promise. Take time today to let a man express them to you.

I am currently putting my energy into myself while studying for the bar exam, and completing my first book. My favorite thing to write about is current events, my life or what is going on around me. Writing affects my mental health greatly as it is the best outlet! Writing puts me in a good zen-like mood. Harness empowers me as a woman because it is a no judgement, free flowing publishing platform just for women. It's a home, in a sense that you can feel comfortable as well as go to Instagram and find inspirational and self-care tips.
