My American Dream

I am not content with a picket fence
The world is too big not to be explored..extensively.
My body may be stuck in this small town,
but my mind is somewhere different
somewhere I don’t have to care what the neighbors think
In this somewhere I am free.
In this somewhere I have tattoos and drink coffee for dinner.
In this somewhere art is always appreciated.
In this somewhere I am royal.
Until I can escape, I suppose I am just the Queen of somewhere.

I am always finding myself. I’m never a finished article. On some days l am healed, and on others I am still healing. On some days I am pen, and on other days I am a journal. I’m always evolving.
