When you have truly moved on, you identify that person as not being relevant to your life anymore, there’s no feeling of heartbreak or reminiscing the past, you simply just don’t care, and it’s freeing. Same goes for friendships. You can’t force a connection, but you also don’t have to hold on to a feeling of resentment for that person. The only obligation you convince yourself of is the one you created. You’re not required to stay in people’s lives or take on what they project, and you’ll be doing yourself a favor when you let go of those relationships that no longer suit you.
