Distance in the Road
It’s a long path I take
Each mountain I cross
Grows at an unpredictable height
These mountains never shorten
These mountains always RISE
Rise like a butterfly
Each road taken
A new journey is found
Stumbling over boulders
Crashing into brick walls
Losing hope and confidence
Adrenaline rushes through
Like FIRE igniting
Sparks of electricity
Glow bright yellow
Like sunflowers
In the morning sun
These are the moments
I stand HIGH
It’s a distance in the road
A long path ahead you take,
A sprout of a butterfly
Arises.
