You Are Art

You are an artist.
What makes an artist?
Beauty? Grace? Creativity?
All of these things live within you.
Is it not art, the way each strand of your hair falls to frame a beautifully unique face?
Is it not art, the way your hips sway for different melodies and genres, and the way they linger in all of your favorite places?
Is it not art, the way your pencil swoops in all sorts of different loops- the way no one else’s does?
Is it not art, the way your eyes sparkle at the sound of your passions?
Is it not art, the way your toes point a little inwards in a naturally imperfect way?
Is it not art, the way you can raise one eyebrow but not the other?
Is it not art, the way you you can curl your tongue in different shapes?
Is it not art, the way you fall in and out of love?
And finally, is it not art the way we embrace and nurture and cultivate all of these little masterpieces?
You are made of art. You are art. How can you not be an artist?
