One Day

One day I’ll go to the ocean
And I’ll walk along the shoreline.
But you won’t be there to see.
Yet I’ll carry the memories of you
Tightly, in my palms,
Remembering how it use to be.

One day I’ll go to the ocean
And I’ll remember our sweet kisses
And our entwining hands
Failing to see the tides
That were fast approaching
Because our heads were stuck in the sand.

One day I’ll go to the ocean
With all our personal belongings
And I’ll throw them into the sea
In the hopes that maybe, just that one day.
The two lovers that were lost,
Will be happier than we could ever be.
