Foolish

not everyone stays.

most people set up camp for a while.

light a few fires, admire the trees,

and dip their toes in the rivers.

i suppose i am foolish

to even think

you would be any different.

(you only ever run towards the bluest skies, a good fit,

for someone who always plays it safe)
