Aubrie Arndt
I’ve always wanted to define myself as a writer. I grew up in a space where I never felt comfortable openly being my whole self. Therefore, writing became this place of solace for me. Every thought or part of my story I could put onto paper. I think it takes guts to be a writer. Whether it be poetry, a short story, or a personal piece you’re putting your entire self out there for others to see. It’s pretty amazing to me. The goal for me is to have somewhat of an intimate experience with my readers. My only hope is that at least one person can take something away from whatever it is that I’ve written. My writing is fueled by my personal experiences which can make it deeply emotional. Placing it in public for others to see makes me feel vulnerable, but that's something I'm learning to appreciate. I am committed to reminding people that the written word isn't dead. Therefore, pick up/load up the next issue of Harness and every other Indie magazine you can get your hands on.
